It is said that the plateaus make great landing pads for spacecraft.

Warminster, Wiltshire, England

It is not a secret that England is the world capital for crop circles, the same reason why many believe that there are a lot of UFO sightings there too. Warminster is an Ancient Market Town located on the southern edge of the Salisbury Plain. It is also a place where orange glowing discs that suddenly “shoot off into space” are seen frequently. In the 60s and 70s, local journalist Arthur Shuttlewood popularized The Warminster Mystery, leading to hundreds, perhaps thousands of independent claims of UFO sightings all coming from this small town.

Wycliffe Well, Australia

Many citizen of Australia considered Wycliffe Well as the “UFO Capital of Australia”. It is said that not a night goes by without a UFO being spotted across its sky. In fact, sightings are very common that you would be considered unlucky if you don’t see anything. UFO sightings have been common from as far back as the days in World War II when servicemen who stayed at Wycliffe Well (was formally an Army Market Garden in those days growing vegetables and servicing the stock route), kept records in a book about some of the weird unidentified flying objects that they would encounter during the night, and even some records show they also saw things during the day.

Arizona, United States

This place is one of the most famous mass UFO sightings in US history. Phoenix in particular reports more UFO sightings than any other town. Most of the sightings has to do with “the Phoenix Lights”, a well documented mass sighting of UFO which happened in 1997. Sedona, another place in Arizona, is another one where many people believe that aliens visit this place because they’re attracted to the energy emitted by natural earth vortexes in the region.

California, United States

Since 1947, Los Angeles has reported more overall UFO sightings than any other city in the United States. According to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), the largest UFO investigation organization in the U.S. — they’re so official that their headquarters is in a strip mall — California has far and away reported more UFO sightings than any other state: 2,192 since 2000. That’s over 600 more than the next closest state (Texas with 1,531).

Nevada, United States

The Extraterrestial Highway is one of the great spots in all the country to view UFOs. Situated on the outside of Area 51, , a U.S. military installation in the Nevada desert about 75 miles north of Las Vegas. This stretch of Nevada Highway 375 is famous world-wide for the number of UFO sightings and the number of rumors that surround Area 51. Some say that the sightings in Area 51 are from the Groom lake base, a place where the military tests out new and experimental aircrafts, thus making them “unidentifiable” since the public has never seen them before.

Dulce, Roswell and Midway, New Mexico

Roswell is very famous for the crash of 1947. Since then, people have been seeing UFOs all over New Mexico. Midway is popular for the “Roswell Rod”. These are fast moving objects that have been caught on tape by the people of Midway. In Dulce, there are reports that there is a secret facility under the Archuleta Mesa where aliens and humans work on genetic experiments in the “Nightmare Hall”. Allegedly the alien spacecraft dock in a chamber within the mesa, and locals are supposedly so afraid of being kidnapped and used for genetic experiments that they don’t mention anything about the base to outsiders.

Colorado, United States

The rocky mountain state of Colorado has the highest percentage of UFO sightings per person anywhere in the United States. If you want to have a good chance of seeing a UFO, this is probably the place to be. The county also boasts a UFO watchtower where a nightly lookout is kept for UFOs.

Texas, United States

On January 8, 2008, Texas gained national attention when hundreds of residents reported seeing objects in the sky. Some said they were triangular, others said they were flying discs; some said the objects were the size of a football field, others claimed it was over a mile long. These are lights that appear at dusk with no explanation. The crew from Fact or Faked tried to explain these lights and could not.

Let me offer a disclaimer here– just because you visit any of these spots, does not mean you are guaranteed to see a UFO. UFO sightings are still rare in occurrence, but seem to be becoming more frequent lately.
